1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Career Station ("Platform"), operated by Career Station Private Limited, a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. By accessing or using our website at careerstation.in, mobile applications, or any related services (collectively, "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use our Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Career Station.

2. Definitions

• "User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Platform, including job seekers, employers, and visitors.
• "Job Seeker" refers to a User who uses the Platform to search for employment, submit applications, or build resumes.
• "Employer" refers to a User or entity that posts job listings, searches for candidates, or uses recruitment services.
• "Content" refers to text, data, images, resumes, job postings, and any other material uploaded, posted, or shared on the Platform.
• "Account" refers to the registered profile created by a User to access certain features of the Platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to use our Services. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts without prior written approval.

5. Services Description

Career Station provides the following services:

• Job Search: Browse, search, and apply for job listings posted by employers across India.
• Resume Builder: Create and manage professional resumes using our AI-powered templates.
• Job Alerts: Receive personalized job notifications based on your preferences.
• Salary Insights: Access salary data and trends for various roles and industries.
• Career Resources: Access blogs, guides, and tools for career development.
• Employer Services: Post jobs, search candidate databases, and manage recruitment workflows.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time without prior notice.

6. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or profile information
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform without permission
• Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian law
• Post discriminatory job listings based on caste, religion, gender, age, or disability (in violation of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 and other applicable laws)
• Circumvent or disable any security features of the Platform
• Share or resell access to premium features without authorization
• Use contact information obtained through the Platform for spamming or unsolicited communication

7. Content Ownership and License

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the Content you upload to the Platform (such as resumes, cover letters, and profile information). By uploading Content, you grant Career Station a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of providing our Services.

7.2 Our Content

All Platform content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and underlying technology, is the property of Career Station or its licensors and is protected by Indian copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our Content without prior written consent.

8. Job Listings and Applications

• Career Station acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee employment or the accuracy of job listings.
• We do not endorse or recommend any specific employer or job opportunity.
• Employers are solely responsible for the content of their job listings and their compliance with applicable labor laws including the Shops and Establishments Act, Minimum Wages Act, and Equal Remuneration Act.
• Job seekers are responsible for verifying the legitimacy of employers and job offers before accepting any position.
• We reserve the right to remove any job listing that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Payment Terms

Certain premium features may require payment. All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST (Goods and Services Tax) as per the GST Act, 2017.

• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy.
• Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with prior notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Career Station shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, employment opportunities, or business reputation.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Career Station in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Career Station, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, disputes, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your use of the Services, or your violation of any rights of third parties.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, warranties, indemnification, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting contact@careerstation.in.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.

Before filing any legal action, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation and, if necessary, mediation under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Platform with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or a prominent banner on the website.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
