Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Workstation Vulnerability Analyst to help secure company workstations by analyzing scan data, researching vulnerabilities, and providing timely mitigation. You will be responsible for prioritizing work based on risk, collaborating with various teams to ensure effective remediation, and staying informed about the latest security threats and mitigation techniques.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze vulnerability scan data and understand the business criticality of various systems.
  • Prioritize work based on risk and complete all tasks within SLA timelines.
  • Research and provide mitigation for identified vulnerabilities, and assist with deployment and rollback as necessary.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing vulnerabilities in the organization's systems, networks, and applications.
  • Support the development and implementation of remediation plans.
  • Participate in regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify new security risks.
  • Monitor security alerts and incidents, and assist in determining the impact and necessary response.
  • Document and report on remediation activities, including progress and outcomes.
  • Investigate and remediate malfunctioning security agents.
  • Analyze root cause and implement corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and development teams to ensure timely and effective remediation.
  • Function and communicate effectively in a global support team.
  • Maintain knowledge of current IT trends and advancements and stay informed about the latest security threats and mitigation techniques.

Skills Required:

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of IT hardware and software.
  • Ability to conduct research into software issues and products.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus/Tenable, Qualys, OpenVAS) is a plus.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation, patch management, and scripting is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.

QUALIFICATION:

  • An associate degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
