Windows Server Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File/Print Services.
• Monitor server performance, availability, and security using tools like System Center, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
• Apply system patches, updates, and firmware upgrades regularly.
• Perform backup and disaster recovery operations using tools like Veeam, Commvault, or Windows Backup.
• Maintain server and data center documentation including asset inventory and network topology.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related server issues.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
• Collaborate with application and network teams for cross-functional IT support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Windows server administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and change management processes.

Desirable Skills:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, MCSA, or MCSE.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), or Intune.
• Familiarity with security hardening and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
