Windows Engineer

Job Summary:

The Windows Engineer is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring system availability, performance, and security across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and services
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file/print services
• Monitor server health, apply patches, and ensure system performance
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards
• Document system configurations, changes, and procedures
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects
• Provide technical support for escalated system issues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Windows system administrator or engineer
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and core components
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V
• Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator or Azure Administrator
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS)
• Exposure to ITIL practices and ticketing tools like ServiceNow
• Knowledge of security tools, backup software, and monitoring systems
