Job description

Managing the warehouse in line with the company s standards

• Complying with the company s policies and standard operating procedures
• Overseeing all operations, such as receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance of products.
• Receiving and ensuring all purchased products are of acceptable quality and validity.
• Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency.
• Safeguarding warehouse operations by complying with extensive security procedures and protocols.
• Consistently update the stock inventory data stored in Shipskarts Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accuracy.
• Participating in the inventory/warehouse management system enhances accuracy and efficiency of warehousing operations.
• Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation laws and requirements
• Ensure all picking of stocks is as per FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Maintaining benchmarked standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies as required.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).

1. Must be digitally literate - ERP, WMS, Scanning, OCR, etc.
2. Must be financially literate (budgets, cost management, PL, working capital).
3. Must be capable of leading a team.
4. Must be a good listener and communicator.
5. Must be capable of building and maintaining robust relationships with vendors, service providers and partners.
6. Must be compliant to systems, policies and procedures.
7. Must have good time-management skills

1. Must have FMCG (Food items / frozen items ) handling experience.
2. Must be organised and structured, in thought and action.
3. Must be cost conscious
4. Must be detail-oriented
5. Must be knowledgeable about marine products and services
6. Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data.
7. Must be an empathetic leader.

Attributes :

1. Must have a Bachelor s Degree, in any discipline.
2. At least 5 years experience in warehousing / supply chain
3. 2+ years experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
4. Must be able to communicate very well, orally and in writing
5. Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
6. Must have experience/familiarity with ERP usage and general digital operations.
