Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement VMware Aria HCX solutions for workload migration and hybrid connectivity.
• Install, configure, and manage HCX appliances, including Interconnect, Network Extension, WAN Optimization, and Mobility Agents.
• Enable and monitor bulk migration, vMotion, and cold migration of workloads across environments.
• Work with on-prem vSphere, VMware Cloud on AWS/Azure/Google, and NSX environments to ensure secure, performant connectivity.
• Integrate HCX with VMware NSX-T, vCenter, SDDCs, and cloud gateways.
• Perform network configuration tasks such as L2 network extension, route advertisement, and IP/MAC preservation.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and network teams to ensure proper firewall rules, VPN/Direct Connect, and identity/access configurations.
• Troubleshoot HCX migration issues and optimize performance.
• Document all architecture, changes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support cloud migration projects, disaster recovery planning, and hybrid cloud adoption.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with VMware HCX and vSphere.
• Strong understanding of VMware SDDC, NSX-T, and hybrid cloud concepts.
• Experience with cloud migration projects involving VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with L2 network extension, IPsec VPN, and hybrid cloud networking.
• Familiarity with HCX deployment topologies, scalability, and performance tuning.

Desirable:

• VMware certifications such as:
• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
• VMware HCX certifications (if available)
• VMware Cloud on AWS/Azure certifications
• Scripting skills (PowerCLI, Python) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with VMware Aria (formerly vRealize) suite is a plus.
