- Ability to quickly learn and Implement VMware technology products and solutions and apply these skills rapidly and effectively using automation techniques.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize performance to ensure the VMWare infrastructure is secure.
- Staying up to date and applying best practices and knowledge shared by Engineering team to improve the VMWare environment.- Addressing Security vulnerabilities and bug fixes in timely manner to keep the infrastructure safe and secure.
- Build/Rebuild new VMware ESX cluster environments using automation solutions to meet business requirements globally.
- Experience in testing, planning, rollout ESX security patches on complex ESX production environments and on dedicated ESX clusters using vRO workflows
- Experience on vCenter patching to keep the infrastructure secure.
- Experience in planning and implementing ESX Hardware evergreening activities on complex VMware environments which includes vendor management and coordination with data center teams.
- Deploy and manage ESX hosts, Clusters and vCenter.
- Experience in managing complex and large VMware environments, ESX hosts, clusters, and vCenter.
- Optimizing and remediation solutions on network port groups and standard vSwitches to align with group standards.
- Managing the cluster storage by procuring and configuring the ESX datastores and troubleshooting related issues.
- Proficiency in ESX Capacity management including vMotion migration activities in standard and internal cloud platforms.
- Expertise knowledge in cluster features including configuring of HA/DRS to maintain cluster healthy.
- Experience in vRO and Ansible, puppet Automation.
- Follow change management process and adhere with HSBC defined standards to ensure change quality is not compromised.
