Virtualization Engineer
Job Description
Design, implement, and manage enterprise virtualization environments using VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
Monitor vCenter servers, clusters, and hypervisors to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Lead virtualization upgrades, patching, disaster recovery, and compliance initiatives.
Provision, scale, and manage the lifecycle of virtual machines (VMs).
Collaborate with storage and network teams to integrate virtualization infrastructure.
Automate VM management tasks using scripts and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Conduct capacity planning, resource optimization, and root cause analysis for incidents.
Maintain detailed technical documentation of architecture, configurations, and processes.
Mentor junior engineers and standardize operating procedures across the team.
