Job Description

A Virtual Engagement Manager - Trade Forex (also commonly referred to as a Virtual Relationship Manager for Trade & Forex or similar title) is responsible for managing client relationships in the foreign exchange (forex) and trade finance sectors remotely. This role involves virtual client communication, sales of trade/forex products, and ensuring high service standards. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Communication & Servicing: Act as the primary virtual point of contact for new and existing trade and forex clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • Sales & Business Development: Drive sales by offering corporate banking solutions such as trade products (e.g., Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees), forex services, and other allied products to new-to-bank (NTB) or existing clients.
  • Relationship Management: Deepen existing client relationships to increase 'wallet share' and customer stickiness through engagement activities and cross-selling tailored products based on their needs and risk profiles.
  • Onboarding & Account Management: Assist clients with account setup, Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, and onboarding processes on relevant trading or banking platforms.
  • Market Education & Advising: Educate clients on trading basics, market risks, company services, and provide advice on market trends, risk management, and derivative solutions to help them make informed decisions.
  • Target Achievement: Meet monthly or periodic targets for revenue generation, client acquisition, and service benchmarks.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to information security and quality process norms, complete necessary logs and reports, and comply with all regulatory guidelines in the trade and forex domain. 

Requirements

  • Experience: The role requires a minimum of 1-7 years of experience in lead generation, sales, relationship management, or a similar role within the banking, financial services, or forex trading industries.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (often specifically English for international markets), strong negotiation abilities, and proficiency with relevant tools such as CRM software, lead generation platforms, and trading platforms (e.g., MT4/MT5).
  • Education: A graduate or postgraduate qualification is usually required.
  • Work Mode: This is a virtual (work-from-home/remote) or hybrid role, requiring self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
