Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the sales organization, aligning objectives with the company's business strategy.
  • Accountable for overall sales performance, profitable achievement of sales goals, and market share growth.
  • Design and manage the sales organization structure, roles, and channel deployment for optimal efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor the sales management team, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and professional development.

Domestic Sales Management:

  • Drive domestic sales across PAN India for coated fabric, technical textiles, PVC, and laminated sheets.
  • Build and expand new territories, acquire new corporate accounts, and increase penetration in existing accounts.
  • Handle direct accounts, government tenders, nationalized large-format chains, and e-commerce sales.
  • Ensure all accounts in the portfolio are mapped, profiled, and strategically managed.

Marketing & Merchandising:

  • Lead a team of merchants managing sales, marketing, and merchandising activities.
  • Communicate with clients, buying houses, and overseas partners to understand requirements and promote products.
  • Monitor trends, cost, and quality of samples, and guide the team to meet business targets.
  • Execute bulk orders through production departments on time with quality standards.

Strategic Planning & Process Management:

  • Develop sales strategies, forecasts, budgets, and KPIs for measurable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for logistics, SCM, dealer management, payment collection, inventory, and credit control.
  • Implement customer service standards, quality control measures, and strategic plans to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and process improvements across the sales function.

Client Relationship & Business Development:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and senior-level management of clients.
  • Identify business opportunities, provide technical solutions, and conduct seminars/product promotions.
  • Build synergy and solutions programs (e.g., payment solutions, gifting solutions) to maximize client engagement and revenues.

Regulatory & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, quality standards, and ethical business practices.
  • Monitor sales operations to maintain ROI from technology, training, and administrative support investments.
