Veritas NetBackup L2 Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor Veritas NetBackup infrastructure to ensure data protection and recovery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, storage issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform backup and restore operations, including scheduling, policies, and retention management.
• Manage NetBackup Master and Media Servers, Clients, and Storage Units.
• Handle disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth backup operations.
• Perform periodic patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of backup environments.
• Generate reports on backup success rates, failures, and storage utilization.

Preferred candidate profile

looking for a skilled Veritas NetBackup L2 Engineer to manage and support backup and recovery operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, administration, and maintenance of Veritas NetBackup environments.

• 3-5 years of experience in Veritas NetBackup administration.
• Strong knowledge of backup policies, retention, schedules, and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with NetBackup versions 8.x and above.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Media Servers, Tape Libraries, and Disk Storage.
• Good understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, and UNIX).
• Knowledge of cloud backups and storage solutions is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
