Job Description

Education and Experience (Minimum):

 Bachelor's degree in interaction design, industrial design, visual design, HCI, or a related field.

 5+ years of experience in the field and a very strong portfolio will be considered in place of a degree.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Produce compelling, engaging, user experiences that allow users to accomplish their tasks easily and

efficiently.

 Work with product management to understand requirements, and turn them into buildable user experiences,

components or styles.

 Active participant within the design team, and encouraging productive dialog

 Participate and collaborate in concept development and design ideation for new product features.

 Employ HTML standards to UX patterns and conventions in designed experiences.

 Produce design deliverables including user flows, sketches at various levels of fidelity, wireframes, clickable

prototypes, and other similar tools to demonstrate and to aid the validation of proposed design solutions.

 Document the results of design related meetings and document design deliverables

 Assist in the maintenance the component library, including functional specifications for interactions, visual

styling, accessibility and usage

Required Skills

 Solid skills in interaction design and an understanding of overall user experience principles.

 3-5+ years of professional design experience, including user experience design of web applications.

 Must possess solid working experience with appropriate design tools such as Figma, MIRO, Sketch.

 Strong online portfolio that demonstrates a high-level of proficiency web app design for business

applications of a similar complexity to the FinTech Enterprise Software domain.

 Experience working closely with a product and technology organization working with them to understand

product requirements and turning the requirements into buildable user experiences.

 Must possess good writing, presentation, and time management skills. Experience with appropriate software

such as MS PowerPoint, Word, and OneDrive.

 Prototyping skills across a range of screen sizes (desktop, mobile, tablet)

 Experience with maintaining and creating components in Figma component libraries

 Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

 High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance

Recommended Skills

 Prior experience or background in the FinTech Enterprise space is a plus

 Possess an understanding of what is reasonably possible with current practices of HTML, CSS, and

JavaScript.

 Able to be diplomatic when working with internal stakeholders, partners and other end-customers

 Capable of grasping project scope and taking initiative to define, document and lead work.

 Proficient in producing clear and precise documentation

 Able to begin leading internal and external design review meetings to clarify business goals, product

requirements and work plan.

 Demonstrates a solid understanding of the roles in the software engineering process and has experience

working directly with these various roles

 Mobile experience is a strong plus.
