Utility and Piping Executive

We are seeking a Utility and Piping Executive to draft detailed layouts of utility piping systems using CAD software. You will ensure design compliance with relevant standards, prepare material lists, and assist with 3D modeling. This role requires 3-4 years of experience in piping works for pharmaceutical projects, with expertise in preparing concept sketches for piping layout and routing, and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Piping Design & Drafting: Draft detailed layouts of utility piping systems using CAD software (AutoCAD 2D/3D). Ensure design compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Layout & Routing: Prepare concept sketches for piping layout and routing, specifically for pharmaceutical projects. Understand equipment placement and layout for pharmaceutical and API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Plants.
• Documentation & BOQ: Prepare material lists and specifications. Calculate the Piping and Fitting BOQ (Bill of Quantities). Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with engineers and project teams to optimize system layouts. Assist with 3D modeling and visualization of designs. Support field installations and resolve design-related issues.
• Coordination: Coordinate and plan day-to-day works within the piping department.
• Diagram Interpretation: Be able to generate PFD (Process Flow Diagram) and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) from hand sketches.

Skills Required

• 3-4 years of experience in piping works of pharmaceutical projects.
• Experience in preparation of concept sketches for Piping Layout & Routing for Pharmaceutical projects.
• Understanding in Equipment Placing & Layout for pharmaceutical and API Plants.
• Ability to derive PFD and P&ID from hand sketches.
• Familiarity with Applicable Codes & Standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D.
• Knowledge of nozzle orientation, chemical piping, and piping isometric concepts.
• Experience in a consultancy environment is a plus.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
