Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support the review and evaluation of operational processes and internal controls to assess their adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Assist in documenting audit findings, observations, and preliminary recommendations for process improvements.
  • Gather and analyze data, documents, and other information relevant to audit scope.
  • Learn and apply professional auditing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the preparation of audit work papers, ensuring proper documentation and support for findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary information and insights during audits.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry best practices, and internal audit trends.
  • Participate in discussions with operational personnel to verify facts and obtain explanations.

Background & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (Candidates pursuing professional certifications like CA/CPA/CIA may be preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in internal audit, statutory audit, risk assurance, or a related finance/accounting role.
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for data analysis and documentation).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • High level of integrity and professional skepticism.
  • A proactive approach, strong eagerness to learn, and adaptability to new challenges and environments.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute to collective goals.
