Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support the review and evaluation of operational processes and internal controls to assess their adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Assist in documenting audit findings, observations, and preliminary recommendations for process improvements.
- Gather and analyze data, documents, and other information relevant to audit scope.
- Learn and apply professional auditing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to the preparation of audit work papers, ensuring proper documentation and support for findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary information and insights during audits.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry best practices, and internal audit trends.
- Participate in discussions with operational personnel to verify facts and obtain explanations.
Background & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (Candidates pursuing professional certifications like CA/CPA/CIA may be preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in internal audit, statutory audit, risk assurance, or a related finance/accounting role.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for data analysis and documentation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- High level of integrity and professional skepticism.
- A proactive approach, strong eagerness to learn, and adaptability to new challenges and environments.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute to collective goals.
