Testing Technician General - FQR

• Perform routine testing of MV panels as per relevant IEC & IS standards, product checklists, quality code book, and customer requirements to ensure the best quality product.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during routine testing of panels.
• Work according to LEAN principles and suggest improvements to eliminate waste.
• Possess good knowledge of SLD (Single Line Diagrams), standard schematic, and electrical drawings of switchgears.
• Understand electrical protection systems and protection relays.
• Provide feedback to the concerned supervisor regarding drawing-related issues.
• Ensure readiness of panels before customer inspections.
• Participate in and demonstrate FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) to customers.
• Submit compliance reports and incorporate necessary changes suggested by customers during inspections, ensuring the changes are implemented in the panel before dispatch.
• Ensure products comply with industry quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Identify defects or deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements and prevent quality issues.
• Train production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment with a task-oriented approach to projects and assignments.

Qualification

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 4 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing and testing AIS switchgear products.

Skills

• Good business communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of EHS guidelines to be followed during electrical/mechanical testing.
• Self-motivation, team working, flexibility, assertiveness, and high ethical standards.
• Familiarity with quality tools for problem-solving methods.
• Results-driven with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency with quality control tools and software.
