The BI Report Tester is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of business intelligence reports. This role involves testing BI reports, identifying and resolving issues, and collaborating with stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Strong inclination towards product quality
• Verify data accuracy and consistency across various BI reports and dashboards
• Work closely with BI developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Use complex SQL queries to validate data and perform data analysis
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure data integrity and quality
• Perform data validation and data comparison between source and target systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing
• Maintain and update test documentation and report
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
• Investigate defects for the root cause & track defect to closure
• Executes test cases, log defects and maintain other test documentation

What you need

• Bachelors in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in BI report testing, data validation, and quality assurance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-versed with intricate SQL queries and cross-referencing diverse data sources
• Hands on knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience with test automation tools.
• Good communication and partnership skills required
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
