Job Description
- As a Lead Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks across UI, API, and mobile platforms.
- You will mentor and guide a team of automation engineers while ensuring alignment with project goals and test strategies.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, DevOps, and business stakeholders to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define automation standards, drive code quality through peer reviews, and promote reusability and scalability.
- Contribute to early-stage requirements analysis and ensure automation coverage from the start of the sprint lifecycle.
What should you bring along
- 5-10 years of experience in test automation.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, STLC, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Leadership experience in managing automation efforts across multiple modules/projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive shift-left testing and ensure high test coverage with fast feedback loops.
Must have technical skill
- Expertise in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, TOSCA, Playwright, or Appium.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Very good Database Knowledge and SQL.
- Very good Understanding of Cloud Technology like AWS & Azure.
- Proficient in using test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or PyTest.
- Experience with API automation using tools like REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD integration with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Version control using Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
- Knowledge on build tools like Maven.
- Knowledge on Sales Journey, Banking/SF.
Good to have skills
- Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave.
- Performance testing experience using JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with cloud testing platforms like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or AWS Device Farm.
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for running test suites in containers.
- Experience working in regulated domains like Banking, Healthcare, or Insurance.
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification.
