Teller

A bank teller job involves handling daily financial transactions for customers, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Key duties also include balancing cash drawers, providing customer service, promoting bank products, and ensuring all transactions comply with regulations. Tellers are the primary point of customer contact and play a crucial role in building customer trust and satisfaction. 

Core responsibilities

• Process transactions: Handle a wide range of customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, money transfers, and loan payments.
• Manage cash: Accurately count and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, and handle cash deliveries.
• Provide customer service: Answer customer inquiries, resolve basic issues, and provide a high level of service to build customer loyalty.
• Promote products and services: Inform customers about bank products like new accounts, credit cards, and other services, and make sales referrals.
• Ensure compliance: Follow all regulatory requirements and bank policies, and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
• Maintain records: Track, record, and store transactional information and maintain account records.
