Technician.Neurology.MIMS Hospital Calicut

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Neurology Technician to join our medical team. The Neurology Technician will assist in performing diagnostic procedures and tests related to neurological conditions under the supervision of a neurologist or healthcare professional. They will play a crucial role in providing accurate and reliable data to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological disorders.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare patients for neurology tests and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Conduct basic neurological examinations, including assessing reflexes, coordination, and sensory responses.
• Perform and record routine tests such as electroencephalograms (EEGs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyograms (EMGs), and evoked potentials (EPs).
• Operate and maintain neurology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
• Assist neurologists or healthcare professionals during specialized procedures like brain mapping, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), or deep brain stimulation (DBS).
• Educate patients and their families about test procedures, preparation, and aftercare instructions.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of test results, including observations and any abnormalities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, scheduling tests, and maintaining patient records.
