  • Blood Testing: Conduct blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing to determine the blood type and compatibility of donors and recipients
  • Perform tests to detect infectious diseases, such as HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis, in donated blood
  • Blood Component Preparation: Process whole blood donations into various blood components, such as red blood cells, plasma, and platelets, using centrifugation and other separation techniques
  • Blood Storage and Inventory Management: Properly label and store blood products in appropriate conditions, ensuring their integrity and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor expiration dates
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on blood products, equipment, and reagents to ensure accurate and reliable test results
