Technician Medical Records

Role Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain electronic or paper-based medical records, including patient demographics, medical history, diagnoses, treatments, and test results.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and security of patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Review and abstract medical records for billing and reimbursement, ensuring proper diagnosis, procedures, and treatments are coded.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate completion of medical records and documentation.
• Respond to requests for medical records, ensuring appropriate release of information.

Job Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical record-keeping software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical records.
• Good communication skills to manage patient records and collaborate with healthcare providers.
• Experience in conducting audits and quality assurance reviews for medical records.
