Key Responsibilities

• Patient Preparation:Greet and prepare patients for gastrointestinal procedures
• Explain the procedure to patients and address their questions and concerns
• Ensure patients are comfortable and provide emotional support
• Equipment Maintenance:Set up and sterilize endoscopy and other specialized equipment before procedures
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure it functions correctly
• Keep an inventory of supplies and request restocking as needed
• Assistance During Procedures:Assist the gastroenterologist during endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies
• Pass instruments and supplies to the physician as required
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities
