Technician Clinical Imaging
Job Description
• Perform various clinical imaging procedures to support diagnosis and monitoring of patient conditions.
• Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and quality patient care.
• Interact with patients to explain imaging procedures, address questions, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Prepare patients by positioning them correctly and providing necessary instructions such as breath-holding or movement restrictions.
• Operate imaging equipment including X-ray, CT, MRI, or ultrasound devices depending on specialization.
• Set up and adjust equipment parameters as required for each procedure.
• Capture high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate techniques and equipment settings.
• Optimize image quality by adjusting contrast, exposure, and focus to ensure accurate visualization.
• Follow strict safety and radiation protection protocols to safeguard patients, staff, and self.
• Implement radiation safety measures, use protective equipment, and follow guidelines for handling imaging equipment.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure comfort and well-being, addressing any concerns or complications promptly.
• Assist radiologists in processing and preparing images for review, including making basic adjustments and measurements.
• Support smooth workflow in the imaging department through accurate documentation and collaboration with clinical teams.
