Technical Automation Engineer (home automation)

Key Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and commission smart home automation systems based on project requirements.
• Work with control platforms such as KNX, Crestron, Control4, Elan, RTI, or Lutron.
• Collaborate with sales, design, and project teams to interpret system drawings and specifications.
• Perform on-site system testing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning.
• Support installation teams in configuring devices such as lighting controls, AV systems, HVAC, and motorized shades.
• Provide technical support for service issues post-installation.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the home automation industry.
• Proficiency in one or more automation platforms: KNX, Basalte, Crestron, Control4, Elan, RTI, or Lutron.
• Strong understanding of smart lighting, multi-room audio, networking, and system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and system layouts.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Kolkata.
