Job Description

The Chemist will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, ensuring product quality, maintaining lab inventory, training junior chemists, and suggesting process improvements to meet project objectives. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Reporting: Record and report test results accurately to the supervisor.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that final products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Training: Guide and train junior chemists on test procedures and laboratory best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock of chemicals and supplies required for experiments.
  • Material Handling: Ensure proper labeling and usage of materials in correct quantities.
  • Issue Investigation: Analyze problems, determine root causes, and define resolutions effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements to test procedures to achieve project and quality objectives.
  • Standardization: Develop standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Support: Provide assistance to junior chemists whenever required.
