System Administrator

VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company.

VAM Systems is currently looking for System Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Educational Qualification & Certifications:

·      Must have B.Sc. degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.

·      Professional certification is preferable (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and AWS certified)

Experience:

·      Minimum 3 years progressive experience in system administration and technical support.

Required Skills:

·      Good communication skills.

·      Must be Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) and preferably Arabic.

·      Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.

·      Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

·      Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude.

·      Experience Servers, Storage devices and patch management

·      Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery (Preferable).

·      Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms

·      Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

Roles & Responsibilities

·      Install and configure software and hardware

·      Managing on-premises and cloud servers and storages.

·      Managing and maintaining Active Directory.

·      Managing and maintaining Windows & Linux server OS.

·      Managing Microsoft Office365 Admin account.

·      Managing AWS accounts.

·      Set up accounts and workstations

·      Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

·      Troubleshoot issues and outages

·      Ensure security through access controls, backups and antivirus server.

·      Upgrade systems with new releases and models

·      Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies

·      Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

·      Setting up new users and giving them access to the intranet

·      Managing and maintaining the file servers

·      Employing the latest security protocols
