Responsibilities

• Perform retinal detachment repair surgeries to reattach a detached retina and prevent vision loss
• Conduct macular hole and epiretinal membrane (pucker) repair procedures to restore or preserve vision
• Perform vitreoretinal surgeries, including vitrectomy, to treat conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal tears
• Manage diabetic retinopathy complications using laser surgery or other surgical techniques
• Treat retinopathy of prematurity in premature infants to prevent vision impairment or blindness
• Perform intraocular foreign body removal surgeries to address retinal injuries caused by foreign objects
• Conduct complex retinal surgeries addressing trauma, tumors, and other intricate retinal conditions
• Administer intravitreal injections of medications, including anti-VEGF agents, to manage conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and retinal vein occlusions
• Engage in research and innovation to advance surgical techniques and treatment options in retinal surgery
