Surgical Coding & Documentation

• Review patient medical records, operative reports, and clinical documentation related to surgical procedures.
• Assign appropriate medical codes for surgeries including general surgery, cardiac surgery, anesthesia, and radiology procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely coding of same-day surgeries and inpatient procedures.
• Maintain compliance with industry coding standards and healthcare regulations.

Medical Coding & Classification

• Apply appropriate coding systems such as ICD, CPT, and other classification standards.
• Handle coding for IP DRG and E/M services as applicable.
• Ensure accurate coding to support claims processing and reimbursement.
• Identify and correct documentation discrepancies in medical records.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Maintain coding accuracy and adherence to compliance guidelines.
• Support audits and internal quality checks related to medical coding.
• Ensure proper documentation to minimize claim denials and coding errors.
• Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.

Denial Management & Claim Support

• Review denied claims and perform denial coding analysis.
• Work with billing teams to resolve coding-related claim issues.
• Ensure coding accuracy to improve reimbursement efficiency and reduce denials.
