Job Description
Summary:
This role is responsible for managing the purchase, supply chain, and delivery of orders with the objective of cost optimization, smooth operation, and efficient resource management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all inbound/incoming materials (RM/PM) booking.
- Plan materials and arrange them by following up with preparing stock statement sheets.
- Check and review purchase order requests.
- Monitor the receipt and control of the daily purchase receipt/production receipt of materials.
- Review and maintain records of receipts on file until the invoice is received.
- Organize the timely movement of materials within the unit to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement targets of logistics costs and work on optimum logistics models.
- Conduct dispatch activities through TMS, including planning, arrangement of trucks, tracking permits and clearance, and follow-ups with transporters and sales-TL.
- Handle all kinds of payment processing and its reconciliation for RM/PM vendors, transporters, and contractors with the HO concern team.
- Request payments on Newgen (BC, IPF, TPF, Exp. Permit Fee, GST, LR, all types of advance payments, TDS, TCS).
- Verify detention bills (in-bound/out-bound).
- Create scrap invoice templates.
- Check and update IMFL bills LOI and breakage in TMS for payment.
- Verify inbound logistic bills.
- Request PO creation by updating route, rate, source, and conditions.
- Coordinate with planning and packing departments for maintenance of proper accounting of recycled bottles and packing materials in the unit.
- Follow up with suppliers/transporters for orders/deliveries.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports on the availability of resources.
- Report current expenditure and utilization of resources.
- Implement contingency plans for fluctuations in demand.
- Assist Unit Head in the preparation of daily & monthly MIS.
- Prepare an updated database on vendor, pricing, and manufacturer information.
Requirements:
- 2 - 7 years of relevant functional experience in purchase, materials control, procurement, and inventory functions.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of purchase, materials management, and warehousing practices.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
Preferred Skills:
- High flexibility and problem-solving abilities.
