Subject Matter Expert - Civil

Primary Responsibilities:

• Independently carry out Civil design activities such as preparation of design calculations/design sketches/checking of drawings for various type of structures like pipe racks, technological structures, process buildings, substations, tank farms, drainage systems, control rooms, non-plant buildings, equipment foundation, etc.
• Should have expertise in Dynamic Analysis of Machine Foundations & Modular Structure Design.
• Functions (following experience would be an added advantage)
• Experience working on international projects in multi-office execution / work-share environment Proficiency in one or more of the special design areas like dynamic analysis, blast resistant structures, pre-cast construction, machine foundations, underground design, etc., manhour control, and progress reporting. Exposure to ISO-certified quality systems.

Qualifications - External

• Civil Engineering degree is a must.
• Minimum 25+ years in Civil Department of a consultancy organization or technical services department of
• Refinery / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Chemical plant, out of which minimum 8 years should be experience in detail engineering of process plants.
• Proficiency in the use of analysis/design software like STAAD-pro, familiar with codal provisions for the design of RCC and steel structures.
• Proficiency in international codes like American, Euro, Canadian or British.
• Familiarity with tender preparation, technical bid evaluation, cost estimates, calculation of preliminary and final BOQ, etc.
