Structural Site Engineer

Your Next Role:

• Advise on all technical aspects of building structures that may affect construction progress and quality.
• Provide technical support and review contractor's coordinated shop drawings against IFC drawings for design compliance.
• Review contractor/subcontractor calculations for permanent works and structural connections per design specifications.
• Review subcontractor structural/civil shop drawings in coordination with building services engineers for proper engineering alignment.
• Review subcontractor method statements, test results, and material submittals for new or remedial permanent works.
• Assess subcontractor material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise on appropriateness.
• Attend project meetings related to structural/civil technical items.
• Review compliance against design subcontractors' technical requirements.
• Respond to RFIs in consultation with design teams.
• Write site visit reports and maintain logs of work progress/issues.
• Support design teams with site insights for updating technical specifications.
• Visit multiple sites and act as a Buro Happold ambassador during site and client meetings.
