Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring it runs smoothly, effectively, and efficiently to meet business objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, maintain accurate statistical and financial records, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Sales & Target Achievement: Set and meet ambitious sales targets, actively motivating staff to achieve and exceed these goals.
  • Customer Experience: Deal promptly and effectively with customer queries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory & Pricing Control: Oversee pricing strategies and maintain rigorous stock control to optimize inventory levels and prevent losses.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, creating a safe environment for both staff and customers.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Prepare engaging promotional materials and creative displays to attract customers and drive sales.
  • Strategic Planning: Create effective business strategies to enhance store performance and market presence.
  • Head Office Liaison: Maintain strong communication and liaison with the head office, providing necessary reports and aligning with company-wide initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to oversee daily store operations.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and maintaining statistical/financial records.
  • Strong customer service skills for dealing with queries and complaints.
  • Ability to oversee pricing and stock control.
