Storage Administrator (HDS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Hitachi storage arrays (HDS VSP, HUS, AMS series).
• Perform provisioning, capacity planning, and performance tuning of storage systems.
• Monitor storage infrastructure health, availability, and performance.
• Implement storage-related backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage issues and coordinate with vendors for support.
• Manage storage virtualization, tiering, and SAN connectivity.
• Collaborate with server, database, and network teams to integrate storage solutions.
• Maintain documentation of storage environment, configurations, and procedures.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities on storage systems.
• Enforce security policies related to data storage and access.
• Participate in storage architecture planning and new technology evaluations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Storage Administrator, specifically with Hitachi Data Systems.
• Hands-on experience managing HDS storage platforms like VSP, HUS, AMS.
• Strong knowledge of SAN (Storage Area Network) technologies including Fibre Channel, iSCSI.
• Experience with storage provisioning, RAID configurations, and LUN management.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of storage security best practices.
