Stock Auditor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical stock verification at warehouses, stores, or manufacturing locations.
• Reconcile physical stock with inventory records maintained in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
• Identify stock discrepancies, pilferages, expiries, and damaged goods.
• Verify stock inward/outward movement, GRNs, gate passes, and stock adjustments.
• Ensure stock valuation and FIFO/LIFO methods are being properly followed.
• Assist in cycle counts and year-end stock taking as per audit schedules.
• Prepare and submit detailed audit reports with observations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse/store managers for smooth execution of audit activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com, BBA, etc.)
• 1–3 years of experience in stock audit, inventory control, or internal audit.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/inventory management software.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock movement.
• Ability to travel extensively for audits (if required).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Preferred Attributes

• CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates preferred (not mandatory).
• Experience with large retail chains, logistics firms, or audit consultancies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity and attention to detail.
