Job Description
- Scope and lead technical projects within the Batch Compute domain.
- Build and maintain infrastructure that powers Stripe's core systems.
- Write and contribute production-level code directly to core systems.
- Collaborate with the open source community to adopt new features and contribute back.
- Drive operational excellence ensuring a highly available, reliable, and secure Batch Compute platform.
- Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience writing high-quality production-level code.
- Hands-on experience with distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Flink, Trino, Kafka).
- Proven ability to develop, maintain, and debug distributed systems using open-source tools.
- Experience building infrastructure as a product, focused on user needs.
- Expertise in end-to-end performance optimization of distributed systems.
- Ability to scale distributed systems in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a user of batch processing systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Track record of open-source contributions to big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, or Celeborn.
