Staff Engineer, Systems Integration

Responsibilities:

• Develop an expert technical understanding of Cepheid's diagnostic products and serve as a holistic systems integration engineer capable of hands-on triaging across systems and subsystems.
• Lead technical projects and tasks involving cross-functional teams, bridging Software, Firmware, Hardware, Consumables, Biochemistry, and Optics.
• Perform hands-on laboratory testing in engineering, instrument, and biology labs.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and perform failure investigations to support design and development efforts.
• Create and maintain system architecture documents, requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, and dFMEAs for integrated instrumentation systems.
• Apply design of experiments (DoE) methodologies to evaluate system-level performance and interpret test results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Electrical, Customer Care, and Biochemistry.
