Job Description

  • The Staff Accountant - General Ledger will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial
  • records. This role will support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, and assist with account
  • reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, we'll-versed in GAAP, and eager to grow their accounting
  • career in a dynamic and fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Record and post journal entries for recurring and ad hoc transactions.
  • Assist in maintaining the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and update schedules to support account balances.
  • Reconciliations:
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Month-End Close:
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Provide documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial analysis and reporting packages.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP.
  • Support audit and tax preparation activities as required.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (eg, pivot tables, formulas, v-lookups).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
