Sr. Specialist Testing

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Specialist Testing / QA Lead with strong expertise in testing methodologies, automation, and project leadership to oversee testing activities for our projects. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and act as SPOC for customer interface related to testing activities.
• Develop, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for small to medium projects.
• Conduct test plan reviews and obtain sign-offs from stakeholders.
• Execute and manage all types of testing: functional, integration, regression, conversion, performance, and security testing.
• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like Quality Center or JIRA until resolution.
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to Test Lead/Project Manager.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and testers to define expected outcomes and verify results.
• Apply automation tools and frameworks (Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Cucumber) to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Utilize DevOps concepts and tools to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Lead knowledge management efforts for renewal and upgrade projects.
• Work flexible hours including weekends if required.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior testers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
• Good reasoning and analytical skills with a solid conceptual understanding of testing methodologies.
• Proven experience as a Test Lead with responsibility for test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with test case and defect management tools such as JIRA and Quality Center.
• Experience with non-functional testing areas including performance and security.
• Agile methodology experience is a must.
• Experience working in technology renewals, upgrades, or tech currency projects is a plus.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and toolchains.
• Technical/Quality certifications such as CSTE, ISTQB, CMMI, or LOMA are desirable.
• Ability to lead work efforts, drive projects forward, and strengthen client relationships.
• Basic knowledge of web testing and mainframe systems preferred.
