Job Description
- Server Management: Oversee the management of 600+ physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in a large environment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues, providing timely solutions to maintain uptime.
- ITIL Application: Apply ITIL best practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Multi-OS Proficiency: Manage and troubleshoot servers across various operating system flavors, ensuring seamless operations.
- Cluster Management: Configure and troubleshoot Windows Clusters to maintain high availability.
- Network Services: Troubleshoot and maintain DHCP and DNS services, ensuring proper network functionality.
- Activity Tracking & Upgrades: Monitor server activity, perform software upgrades, and proactively address any technical problems.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, procedures, and incidents.
- Hardware RAID: Configure and troubleshoot Hardware RAID systems to ensure data integrity and performance.
Required Skills
- Server Management: Ability to manage physical and virtual servers in a large environment (typically 600+ servers).
- Hardware Troubleshooting: Proficient in server hardware troubleshooting.
- ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL is preferred.
- Operating Systems: Experience in handling servers across multiple OS flavors.
- Windows Clusters: Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Clusters.
- Network Services: Experience in troubleshooting DHCP and DNS Services.
- Networking Fundamentals: Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Server Maintenance: Experience in tracking server activity, performing software upgrades, and addressing technical problems.
- Documentation: Good documentation skills are preferred.
- Hardware RAID: Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of Hardware RAID.
