Job Description

As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer in Medtronic's Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Operations, you will play a pivotal role in managing strategic business projects from ideation to delivery. You will work cross-functionally with various departments and engage with organizational leaders, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and deliver measurable results, ultimately contributing to Medtronic's mission to alleviate pain and extend life. Remote working arrangements will be considered for top talent.

A Day in the Life

You will drive the operational aspects of ENT projects by:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Marketing, and corporate leadership.
  • Leading or leveraging cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects for ENT's new or iterative products, as well as released products and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of programs, serving as a liaison between program leadership, project core teams, and the transition to operations by focusing on project management principles such as scoping, planning, and execution.
  • Managing the development and implementation process of products and services involving numerous departments and teams.
  • Owning the status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing status reports.
  • Monitoring projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Assessing project issues and developing solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
  • Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with other project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Gathering requirements, working on requirements planning, elicitation, and management to ensure they meet the demands of project's key stakeholders.
  • Engaging and communicating with leadership through steering committee meetings, monthly stakeholder meetings, and project meetings, ensuring end products solve business problems.

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading a complex project/program, including financial accountability and resource management.
  • Effective planning and organization skills, including the proven ability to work against multiple objectives simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a trusted role with various stakeholders in coordinating multiple functions across the organization.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience coordinating with remote teams.
