Sr. Manager / Manager – Procurement (Raw Material – Bulk & Major)

An Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate should have an experience of 8–12 years in raw material procurement in heavy manufacturing industries. Should have proven expertise in sourcing Carbon Steel, Ferro Silicon, Bitumen Paint, and other key industrial materials. Should have strong exposure to high-volume commodity procurement and vendor negotiations. One should have strategic sourcing, cost reduction experience. Should have deep knowledge of commodity markets. Should possess strong negotiation and contract management abilities. One should be from B.E / B. Tech Background with strong stakeholder management and analytical mindset.

Key Competencies:

1. To lead procurement of bulk & major raw materials, including Carbon Steel (plates, coils, billets), Ferro Silicon, Bitumen Paint and Iron ore, coal, DRI, coke, scrap, ferroalloys.
2. To develop and implement direct sourcing strategies, reducing dependency on traders and increasing engagement with OEMs/producers.
3. To build and maintain a strong domestic and global vendor base for quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
4. To negotiate pricing, terms, and logistics for high-volume raw materials to optimize commercial value.
5. To monitor and analyze market trends, pricing forecasts, and commodity risks.
6. To develop robust supplier evaluation frameworks and ensure SLA adherence.
7. To ensure full compliance with quality standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
8. To work cross-functionally with Production, QA/QC, Logistics, and Finance for procurement planning and execution.
