Sr. Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

Summary: Graduate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with minimum 10 years post qualification detail design and estimation experience in Electrical & Instrumentation for Modular Technical Buildings.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTITUDE:

Minimum Qualifications:

B.E/B Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Minimum Experience:

10 years' post qualification experience in Modular Technical Buildings preferably in Oil & Gas industry

Job-Specific Skills:

Experience in Modular Building industries (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, etc.)

Design software's like Dialux, Relux

Design Optimisation

Knowledge in AutoCAD/3D Software preferred

Generic Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Proficient in MS Office packages – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines

Familiarity with industry standards IEC/NEC/NFPA/BS

4. Roles and Responsibilities (DETAILED):

• Propose economic solutions meeting the client/project requirements.

• To develop timely and cost-effective E&I deliverable based on client given information, specifications.

• Make revisions and incorporate/clarify and resolve comments made by clients.

• Preparation of engineering calculations such as Cable Sizing Calculations / Voltage Drop Calculations / Cable Tray Sizing Calculations / Lighting Design Calculations etc. as required for each project.

• MCT (Multi Cable Transit) design as required for project.

• Preparation of deliverables like load schedule, cable schedule for the project.

• Review and approval of vendor deliverables like GA, schematics for MCCs, HVAC control panel, F&G control panels.

• Design and develop engineering designs in accordance with the project scope and provide inputs to drafting team for preparation of drawings such as EIT equipment layout drawings, Lighting Layouts, Small Power Layouts, Cable Tray Layouts, Earthing Layouts, MCT Layouts, Fire & Gas location layouts etc. as per the project's deliverables list.

• Review of Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC, Telecom and F&G / Fire Suppression Systems drawings/documents.

• Design and selection of equipment's/instruments suitable for project Hazardous area requirements.

• 3D model review.

• Explain the deliverable to construction team and provide construction support as necessary.

• E&I estimation for the bids and coordination with stakeholders to gather all the required information for right estimation.

• Coordination with Projects team for smooth running of the project.

• Attend daily, weekly project meetings – internal and with client.

• Any other responsibility as deemed necessary.
