Sr. Azure Cloud Platform Engineer

Job description

• Responsible for migrating workloads from on-premise to public cloud
• Responsible for modernizing legacy or existing applications and making cloud ready
• Responsible for implanting deployment pipelines for cloud native applications
• Responsible for automating the infrastructure provisioning on cloud
• Responsible for design, implementation and uptime of highly scalable application infrastructure running on public cloud
• Responsible for build out lifecycle processes to mitigate risk and ensure platforms remain current, in accordance with industry standard methodologies
• Accessing on premise workloads for cloud suitability
• Responsible for strategizing applications and database for migration to cloud
• Should be able to build, configure and migrate servers on Microsoft and Non-Microsoft platform
• Should be able to configure Azure Stack Hub in standalone/ HA mode 3 should be able to create complex PowerShell scripts
• Integrating on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory for Azure Stack Hub
• Experience of taking back-up for Azure Stack Hub
• Experience in creating migration strategy for migrating the application to Azure Stack Hub
• Experience in securing the Azure Stack Hub implementation by using firewalls and other third-party tools
• Understanding of different solutions available for HA of Azure Stack Hub
• Understanding of Azure Arc to monitor VMs deployed on Azure Stack Hub
• Automate and deploy Azure landing zone and services
• Experience in infrastructure as code tool like Cloud Formation, Terraform or ARM Templates
• Good understanding of networking and core Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP(S), SSH/RDP and routing in distributed networks.
• Experience with application modernization and cloud migrations
• Experience with Azure cloud providers is a must
• Experience in migration on-premise application and database workloads to AWS/Azure
• Experience in leveraging cloud native or 3rd party migration services (AWS DMS, Azure DMS, Cloud Endure)
• Should be comfortable working in linux/Unix and/or Windows administration and scripting (Bash/Perl/Python/Powershell)
• Experience with DevOps tools for source code management CI/CD, configuration management
• Containerizing applications and orchestrating on Kubernetes/GKE/AKS/EKS
• Excellent communication
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience in continuous Integration/Deployment - DevOps mindset
• Azure Architect certificate will be an added advantage
