Specialist Testing

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Test Lead / QA Lead to manage and execute testing activities for our projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of testing methodologies and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and act as SPOC for customer interface related to testing activities.
• Plan, design, and execute test plans and test cases to ensure quality deliverables for small to medium-sized projects.
• Conduct workshops and client interactions to gather requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
• Perform gap analysis and create design and functional specification documents.
• Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Coordinate test plan reviews, approvals, and sign-offs with stakeholders.
• Provide estimates for testing activities and resource requirements.
• Define and enforce test success criteria, acceptance criteria, and entrance/exit criteria.
• Utilize various test design techniques and tools to cover functional and non-functional testing needs.
• Manage defect lifecycle, from identification to resolution, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of defects.
• Execute automated test scripts using tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, and Cucumber, and incorporate automation results into project reports.
• Drive quality assurance efforts in Agile environments, actively participating in sprints and ceremonies.
• Utilize and contribute to knowledge management in renewal and upgrade projects.
• Use test management tools like JIRA and Quality Center for test case and defect tracking.
• Monitor non-functional testing areas such as performance and security testing.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for test coverage and quality.
• Analyze test results and recommend improvements to testing processes and tools.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity of testing scope and results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong academic background with excellent reasoning and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of web testing; familiarity with mainframe systems is preferred.
• Solid conceptual understanding of various testing methodologies.
• Experience creating and managing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• Working knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Quality Center.
• Understanding of non-functional testing areas including performance and security.
• Agile methodology experience is mandatory.
• Exposure to technology renewals, upgrades, and tech currency projects is an advantage.
• Quality/Testing Certifications such as CSTE, ISTQB, CMMI, or LOMA are desirable.
• Proven experience as a Test Lead or SPOC with customer communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret test results, including defect severity assessment.
• Ability to use automation as part of project delivery and reporting.
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality standards.
