Specialist - Orthopaedics

Diagnosis and Evaluation:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopaedic conditions.
• Interpret medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
• Formulate accurate diagnoses based on gathered information.
• Determine the appropriate course of treatment for each patient.

Surgical Procedures:

• Perform orthopaedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopic procedures, and other specialized surgeries.
• Ensure adherence to surgical protocols and maintain a high standard of patient safety.
• Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technologies to achieve optimal surgical outcomes.

Treatment and Management:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their specific conditions and needs.
• Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and other non-surgical interventions as appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment options, and self-care.

Collaboration and Consultation:

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, radiologists, and anesthesiologists, to ensure coordinated care.

Research and Professional Development:

Documentation and Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards of patient confidentiality and data protection.
