Roles and Responsibility/Job Description

Job responsibilities

•  Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure software quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize testing requirements and achieve thorough test coverage
• Perform manual, automated and regression testing, track issues, and verify bug fixes, to ensure software stability and reliability
• Design and implement test automation frameworks to streamline testing processes
• Analyze and report test results, track defects, and improve testing methodologies
• Demonstrate ability to contribute to design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
• Develop and maintain test automation for AWS hosted applications
• Utilize experience in MongoDB for data validation and test automation
• Leverage Playwright for test automation of web applications

Required qualifications (Must Have), capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
• Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution
• Proven track record of implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity
• Good knowledge of programming languages such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy
• Expertise in automation frameworks and libraries: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured, etc.
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks
• Proficiency with API Test Automation
• Good knowledge of version control (Git), build tools (Maven/Gradle)
• Expertise in increasing automation coverage
• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting Test Automation Project
• Attention to detail and ability to meticulously document test results and defects in tracking tools, such as Jira
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of database concepts and SQL/NO SQL for data validation and verification
• Experience in MongoDB for test automation and data validation
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), such as Jenkins
• Quality-Oriented Mindset with a strong focus on quality and a commitment to delivering high-quality software
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate test results and collaborate with stakeholders
• Experience with test automation for AWS hosted applications is a plus

Good to have qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Postman, Blazemeter or JMeter
• Understanding of Behavior Driven Development / Data Driven / Hybrid Frameworks
• Exposure to cloud technologies
• Exposure to testing of Microservices based systems
