Software Development Engineer II Android, Viewer Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain foundational frameworks and shared components for Android applications.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and tested code for native mobile apps; participate in code reviews.
• Define and improve engineering standards, ensuring codebase consistency and scalability.
• Take ownership of end-to-end product quality, from development to maintenance, ensuring reliability and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to create prototypes, explore emerging technologies, and deliver innovative solutions.
• Optimize app performance, stability, and metrics; propose improvements based on performance analysis.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, including writing technical blogs on mobile innovation.
• Support app integration with analytics, location, social APIs, MDM, payment gateways, SMS gateways, media content transcoding, and cloud platforms (AWS, GAE, Firebase).
