Snowflake Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake SQL and Snowflake's data loading features.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data transformation and analytics.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business users to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Manage data ingestion from various sources including cloud storage, databases, and APIs into Snowflake.
• Monitor and tune Snowflake performance by optimizing warehouses, caching, clustering keys, and resource utilization.
• Implement data security, role-based access controls, and data governance policies within Snowflake.
• Support data modeling and schema design following best practices for cloud data warehousing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and system integration.
• Document development processes, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.
• Stay updated with Snowflake platform enhancements and cloud data trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and user-defined functions in Snowflake.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Fivetran).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architectures.
• Knowledge of data security best practices, including encryption, masking, and access control.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, or JavaScript) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
