Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for our Kudligi site. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) in the wind energy sector. You will be responsible for planning and executing O&M activities to ensure optimal availability of wind energy generators (WEGs), managing site resources, and leading a team of service engineers. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills to manage both the team and customer relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Team & Resource Management: Plan the utilization of resources, prioritize O&M activities, and assign duties to service engineers. Motivate, assist, and evaluate team performance, and identify training needs. You will be responsible for managing men, materials, machinery, and money efficiently.
- Problem-Solving: Independently resolve routine service-related issues (e.g., equipment malfunction, breakdowns) and personnel-related problems. Escalate unusual or serious issues to your superior in a timely manner.
- Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with customers to provide updates on WEG performance and build strong relationships. Coordinate with local State Electricity Boards for routine transactions.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all site activities comply with HSE, Legal/Statutory/ISO requirements. Maintain all applicable manuals, checklists, and service bulletins. Prepare and maintain records for service invoices and receivables.
- Cost & Inventory Control: Monitor and control expenses at the site, reporting any budget overruns. Manage spares inventory and initiate actions for replenishment.
- Site Upkeep: Arrange for the maintenance and upkeep of office facilities, surroundings, and guest houses, and monitor service providers' activities.
Qualifications
- A BE / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in a site supervisor or site in-charge role within O&M.
