Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to lead capacity management, operational support, and incident resolution for our OTC Derivative and FX platforms. This role requires a professional with a background in both SRE and application support, who can collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure the reliability and resilience of our systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead Capacity Management, Operational Support Design, Audit Preparation, Incident Escalation, Problem Management Engagement, and DR Design and Execution.
• Liaise with other teams across Product, Development, and Infrastructure for 3rd line escalation.
• Provide technical advisory to Product, business, and clients for solution delivery.
• Work closely with Development and Infrastructure teams to ensure platform supportability and readiness for new releases.
• Be responsible for handling, identifying, and communicating technical resolutions in English.

Skills Required

• Experience in roles like Site Reliability Engineer or Application Support with Project Management tasks.
• Experience in managing the capacity, performance throughput, and EOS/EOL of a platform from infrastructure to software.
• Experience in troubleshooting issues, defining supportability, and streamlining the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Good understanding of Site Reliability Engineer and Application Support processes, incident support, and disaster recovery execution/design.
• Strong ability to understand application architecture, navigate to problem areas, and identify proactive measures for resiliency and recovery.
• Ability to apply analytical methodology (trending, distribution) to gain insight from application data.
• Ability to understand business workflow and tie it to technical implementation.
• Experience in reading and tracing Java, C++, Python, and/or scripting languages.
• Experience with databases, including SQL scripting (preferably Oracle).
• Understanding of networking principles, its practical uses, and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure), PAAS, and implementation with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Windows and Linux.
• Good understanding of messaging platforms and protocols like XML, XSLT, IBM MQ, AMQ, etc.
• Knowledge of financial messaging protocols like FIX, FPmL, TOF, etc.
• Experience with security protocols related to connectivity encryption utilizing SSL and TLS.
• Good to have: Prior experience in Finance / OTC Derivative and FX trade processing, or a general background in the Finance Industry.
